Stephen Carter is the mind behind the election victories of Premier Alison Redford and Calgary Mayor Naheed Nenshi and he is holding ten talks around Alberta about politics and the changing field of community engagement. Each of these talks will explore a topic as well as sharing insider stories and theories on elections. He is kicking off this speaking tour talking about data and its use in winning elections at NAIT on May 12.

Stephen will talk about collecting data through such means of polling and focus groups, then taking the data of that describe who you are, where you live, what you want and the delivering a political message directly to you. This is the new ground game in campaigns and where political and advocacy groups are going to need to compete within in order to be heard. His presentation is being hosted by the Alberta Graduate Council, the Alberta Students’ Executive Council, and the Council of Alberta University Students.
